THE PHILOSOPHY:
A UNIFIED APPROACH FOR ENHANCED DEVELOPMENT
Our programming divides the year into Four Seasonal Cycles of 13 weeks, each split into Two Blocks of 8 weeks & 5 weeks.
This structure allows us to target specific training objectives while maintaining a balanced approach to all aspects of fitness. It ensures continuous growth, diverse training experiences, and a community-focused environment so you can be #readyforanything.
AUTUMN CYCLE
SEPT - NOV
Initiating the yearly cycle, the Fall Phase prioritizes hypertrophy (muscle mass enhancement) and endurance (zone 2-3 conditioning). This phase lays a solid foundation for aerobic capacity, recovery, & preps your body for future strength & power demands.
WINTER CYCLE
DEC - FEB
The Winter Phase emphasizes strength with a sustained focus on aerobic conditioning. This cycle adjusts lifting volumes to accommodate increased intensity. Conditioning becomes more dynamic & skill-based, and ensures the maintenance of our aerobic base.
SPRING CYCLE
MARCH - MAY
Dedicated to explosive power development, this cycle capitalizes on the strength & endurance built in previous phases. This phase is the most intense period, focusing on generating maximum effort to enhance power effectively, but still dedicates volume to other areas to ensure true hybrid training.
SUMMER CYCLE
JUNE - AUG
Concentrating on power endurance, this final block of the year integrates varied conditioning & strength training. It aims to maximize power output over extended periods, so expect to have the most fun this cycle in terms of variation & programming style.

Through the Dark Horse Athlete WhatsApp Group, you will have direct access to both DHA Coaches and other DHA Members. Our coaches will hold you accountable and provide the feedback you need to grow.
